Busia's Babushkas (2022)
In this short memoir, Dan Pal explores his relationship with his Polish grandmother, her babushkas, and a love of long hair. The film made its premiere at the Pride Film Festival on Nov. 2, 2022. Other festival screenings of the film include the 2023 Tag! Queer Shorts Festival in Portland, Oregon and the Merced Queer Film Festival in in California in September 2023.
Harriet & Her Husbands (2020)
Using over half a century of home movies, photos, and interviews with family members, Dan Pal paints a portrait of his three fathers and explores his mother's survival after each of their deaths, hoping to answer the question: How does one overcome so much personal tragedy? This is a feature-length, very personal family memoir.
